Modern World History

This engaging 12th grade history class thoroughly explores the multifaceted Cold War and its significant impact on the modern world we live in today. Students will closely examine key historical events, global tensions, and the competing ideologies that defined this intense period while simultaneously building essential critical thinking skills that are vital for their academic growth and personal development.

Class Goals   

The goal of this course is to help students understand the key events, ideas, and global impact of the Cold War. Students will learn to analyze historical evidence, recognize cause and effect, and understand multiple perspectives. By the end of the course, students will be able to explain why the Cold War still matters today. This class will require effort on part of the student but rewarding as they grow as historians.
